Teaching

Marino is a passionate teacher of flute and saxophone and teaches at St Albans High School for Girls, South Hampstead High School for Girls & Keble Prep. Students range from Year 3 to 6th Former’s and covers beginners up to diploma standard. He also coaches music college students & groups including online (FaceTime/Zoom/Skype) lessons across the UK. His experience includes

  • Preparing the students for grade & diploma exams, ABRSM & Trinity (Classical & Jazz) 100% success rate.
  • GCSE and A level performance recitals
  • Preparing Students for Theory exams
  • Conducting bands and orchestras at school concerts…He currently directs 2 Saxophone Ensembles, Junior Jazz Band, Jazz Big Band & an advanced Saxophone Quartet.
  • Arranging and promoting concerts
  • Entering students/groups in local & national competitions
  • Advising parents & students on instruments (where to buy/repairs)
  • Advising schools how to run successful Music Departments

In the past he has taught for St Columba’s College, Queenswood School and for the London Boroughs of Haringey, Barnet, Enfield and Camden.
